About Kino Cove

In a world marked by climate change, natural disasters, and unpredictable disruptions, too many people feel overwhelmed by preparedness advice that's either fear-based or impractical. Kino Cove offers an alternative: systems‑based resilience rooted in trust, science, and everyday habits.

Kino Cove helps you build Resilience As A System, an interconnected network of knowledge, skills, relationships, and resources that work together to keep you safe, healthy, and ready for whatever comes next.

Our approach centers on five foundational pillars: Physical Preparedness, Knowledge & Skills, Social Connections, Financial Stability, and Psychological Resilience. These pillars work together as an integrated system, helping you build capacity across every dimension of emergency readiness. We're here to help you command the chaos through thoughtful preparation that fits your actual life, budget, and bandwidth.

About Nneka

A smiling woman with black hair and glasses standing outdoors with a view of the water and a hilly landscape in the background.

I'm Nneka Kibuule, founder of Kino Cove. My background includes corporate strategy and innovation, investing in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure, and community building. I have worked in wildfire response and hold training credentials from FEMA and Cal-OES. As a parent living in Oakland with my husband and young son, I created Kino Cove because I understand the gap between knowing you should prepare and actually making it happen. This platform brings together everything I've learned about building resilience systems that work for real families navigating real constraints.
