Kino Cove is digital resilience infrastructure, built for institutions and designed for families. We help households prepare for disruption through intelligent emergency planning, guided actions, and community connection. We sell to corporate HR teams, insurers, universities, municipalities, and utilities as a benefit, and deliver directly to households through our consumer app.

I'm looking for a founding engineer / CTO for Kino Cove. The platform has a beta live in TestFlight. We came out of stealth in April 2026 and began early conversations with customers. The next few months are about transforming a nascent consumer product into a fortified, reliable household utility that institutional partners and families can depend on. I need an audacious partner to support my ambition to transform the face of household resilience, safety, and community well-being.

A strong candidate will have:

• A track record of taking products from early ideation to scale, particularly in building new consumer solutions. Experience in regulated industries like government, utilities, or healthcare is a plus.

• Deep understanding of what it takes to architect and operate a service and the many tradeoffs that come from such choices. They are owners of the technical stack and we will collaborate on decisions that intersect with business development to build the best solution for the market.

• Hiring and leadership skills that can attract technical talent and create collaborative and high performing teams. They want to be a part of designing a culture that rewards innovation through integrity, rigor, and care for the people we serve and work with every day.

Compensation: Meaningful company equity now, cash compensation once the pre-seed closes. I would be open to someone working part time or in a fractional capacity.
