Keep originals in:

  • Bank and credit card information

  • Medical records and prescriptions

  • Property deed or lease

  • Vehicle titles

  • Important contacts

  • Pet vaccination records

Digital backup:

  • Scan all documents

  • Store on USB drive (in waterproof bag in kit)

  • Upload to cloud storage

Cash

Why you need cash:

  • ATMs may not work

  • Credit card systems may be down

  • Stores may only accept cash

How much:

  • Minimum: $200-300

  • Recommended: $500-1000

  • Small bills ($1, $5, $10, $20)

  • Coins for vending machines
